Homemade Muesli Bars

Crispy Food

  • 2 cups Muesli
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried fruits (e.g., raisins, dried plums)
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, nuts, dried fruits, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the honey (or maple syrup), peanut butter (or almond butter), vanilla extract (if using), and salt, stirring until well combined.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  4. Pour the hot mixture over the oats and other ingredients. Stir well until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a parchment-lined baking dish. Press down firmly and evenly to compact the ingredients.
  6. Let it cool at room temperature for at least an hour, or until completely cooled and set.
  7. Once cooled and firm, cut into bars or squares or hearts.
  8. Store these muesli bars in an airtight container at room temperature for several days, or in the refrigerator for a firmer texture. Enjoy your homemade muesli bars!
